ADVANCEMENT FOUNDATION

EDUCATION PROJECTS

The EDUCATIONA ASSISTANCE PROGRAM will provide educational support to deserving and qualified underprivileged students in the majors of law, social education, and political science. The program will assist Chinese scholars enrolled in masters or doctoral programs in the United States.

CAS-TAF will collaborate with donors in the selection of educational assistance recipients. CAS-TAF will solicit applicants, publish information, form selection committees, award assistance, track recipient progress and performance for program assessment.

CAS-TAF has already initiated the Educational Assistance Program and has obtained generous support and commitment. Several graduate students have been selected and educational stipends have been awarded accordingly.

CAS-TAF participates in PROFESSIONAL TRAINING of college professors from rural areas by assisting in the selection and arranging for qualified personnel to attend intensive short term training programs in the United States.

CAS-TAF has initiated a I. T. EDUCATION PROGRAM for secondary students in rural areas of China. Through this program we will be producing and distributing visual and audio teaching aid materials to local educators.

CAS-TAF is actively looking for opportunities to create COOPERATIVE PROJECTS between universities in China and the United States.

The SEMINAR PROGRAM will include continued education and technical exchange programs including training workshops and other technical services. CAS-TAF will provide support in planning and software systems.

CAS-TAF has successfully sponsored a seminar addressing stem cell research with over 200 attendees and financial support from Merrill Lynch.
